Portfolio > Installation(s)

Drawing installations started with a simple question How do I make a drawing/painting as installation? The first several installations I would spend weeks at the computer figuring out the patterns, layering, and color. I would arrive with a completed drawing (on paper) in hand and begin. Even with an image of the space to help develop the drawing the actual space or architecture of the space posed certain challenges that could not be foreseen. Realizing the architecture is a collaborative partner in developing the drawing I now arrive with several possible digitally manipulated patterns. Using my intuition I begin with a structural or base pattern to work off of or from and let the architecture dictate the direction of the drawing. I then layer two or three lines/shapes over top until the drawing is complete.
